THIS week, let’s get going with a glance at the Thursday 7.30pm league, and this is where we discover the star bowler was Sarah Ostini from Hyundai, with 156 over average for the series.
The next league out of the blocks is the Wednesday 6.30pm Autostyle league, and from here came star bowler Luke Cooper from Chukum, with 139 over average for the series.
Then there’s the Monday 7.30pm doubles, where the star bowler turned out to be Daniel Wishart from HSV, with 129 over average for the series. The Tuesday juniors threw up Lachlan Robinson from Brothers Grim as its star bowler, in recognition of his 123 over average for the series.
Jumping to Wednesday and the 7.30pm league, we find the star bowler was Trevor Southwell from Pin Pals, also with 121 over average for the series.
And finally for this week, there’s the Tuesday mixed singles (of course), where the star bowler happened to be Paige Keegan with 121 over average for the series. And, as no doubt you’ve all calculated by now, the star bowler of the week, and winner of the auto wash, compliments of Pete’s Car Wash, was Sarah Ostini, who gave us that great 156 over average for the series. And the era of multiple awards has not yet finished, as Sarah also claimed the Almost Made It Hero prize of the Mackie’s Cafe open order, because on her way to 156 over average for the series, she bowled a game of 179 (PB).

Our encouragement award, the Video Ezy voucher, was claimed by the previously-mentioned Linda McFadden, whose score of 192 was 64 over average. Junior of the week, and winner of the McDonald’s encouragement award, was also previously mentioned, and was Amy Nichols, who rolled that good game of 176.
August’s second aspirant for the title of female of note, and a chance to score the gift certificate from Beyond Blonde Hair Studio, was Paige Keegan, who rolled a few great games for a series of 825.
And unfortunately (for me, anyway), there were no double dippers located this week. Maybe, with some luck, I’ll find some next week. Remember - you can run, but you can’t hide.
