EXTENDING the nominations has paid off for the Golden West Race Club, as Sunday’s meeting in Orange has grown.
Originally Sunday’s meeting, to be held at Towac Park, had attracted 71 nominations across the seven races.
The Rating 77 Handicap over 1600m was looking poor with only four nominations.
This event now has eight nominations including two Orange horses - Peter Stanley’s Esprit D’Oiseau and Alison Smith’s Tempelhof.
The Rating 62 Handicap over 1400m has attracted another two nominations, as has the Maiden Plate over 1600m.
Canberra-based trainer Rado Boljun has nominated Strike Me Happy in the Open Handicap (1300m) as well as Spirit Of Oamaru in the Rating 77 Handicap.
Warwick Farm trainers Andre Ven Tonder and Matthew Smith added a nomination each to the Maiden Plate, while Bathurst’s Paul Theobald nominated Kingee for the Class 2 Handicap (1300m).
Sunday’s meeting will be held at Towac Park, with the first race set to start at 12.45pm.
